- Limited capital intensity or poorly utilized capacity
Alarian seeks opportunities in:
- Closely held companies where the founder, owners or management team desire some or all liquidity
- Moderately performing, venture backed companies where additional capital is desired to pursue growth initiatives, or
- Management buy-out or spin-out opportunities of operating units of larger concerns no longer strategic to the parent organization but with attractive market growth opportunity if properly capitalized and operated.
Our approach to investing favors numerous types of transactions, including leveraged buyouts, growth investments, management buyouts, divestitures and recapitalizations. We work closely with a select group of senior and mezzanine lenders to ensure a conservative capital structure that leverages our investors' equity returns while ensuring sufficient working capital availability to support company growth and capital expenditures. Our hold periods range from 3 to 5 years or longer and reflect the time needed to capitalize on the strategic plan developed by company management and Alarian Associates, Inc.
